**The Heart of the Prajnaparamita Sutra**  
(*Prajnaparamita Hridaya Sutra*)  

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, practicing deep Prajnaparamita,  
Clearly saw the emptiness of all five conditions,  
And transcended all suffering and distress.  

Shariputra, form is no other than emptiness,  
Emptiness no other than form;  
Form is precisely emptiness,  
Emptiness precisely form.  
Sensation, perception, volition, and consciousness are also like this.  

Shariputra, all things are marked by emptiness:  
Not born, not destroyed;  
Not stained, not pure;  
Without gain, without loss.  

Therefore, in emptiness:  
No form, no sensation, perception, volition, or consciousness;  
No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind;  
No color, sound, smell, taste, touch, or object of mind;  
No realm of sight… no realm of mind-consciousness;  
No ignorance, no end to ignorance…  
No old age and death, no end to old age and death;  
No suffering, no cause of suffering,  
No cessation of suffering, no path;  
No wisdom, and no attainment.  

Since there is nothing to attain,  
A Bodhisattva relies on Prajnaparamita,  
And thus the mind is without hindrance.  
Without hindrance, there is no fear;  
Freed from all distortion, one reaches ultimate Nirvana.  

All Buddhas of past, present, and future  
Rely on Prajnaparamita  
To attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.  

Therefore, know:  
Prajnaparamita is the great mantra,  
The mantra of great wisdom,  
The unsurpassed mantra,  
The unequalled mantra.  
It extinguishes all suffering.  
This is truth, not deception.  

Therefore, proclaim the Prajnaparamita mantra:  
**Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha!**
